UFCE Learn over Lunch – Youth Compliance

Is your UF unit planning one or more events, including camps, primarily for youth (under 18 years of age). If so, you will not want to miss the May 23rd UFCE Learn over Lunch! Sophia Andrews, Assistant Director, Youth Compliance, will join the Learn over Lunch bunch, to discuss a wide range of topics, including: the University’s new Youth Compliance policy; how to register events with the Youth Compliance office; and the types of parental/guardian consents the University requires at youth-focused events. Sophia will also discuss the various legal requirements UF staff should be aware of, such as when event staffers need to be background checked and/or receive youth protection training, and the obligation of “any person” to report suspected abuse, abandonment, or neglect of a child.
