UF Symphony Orchestra Concert “Les Voyages”

Join us Thursday, September 26 for the first UF Symphony Orchestra concert of the season!
The evening will feature three distinct works from the golden age of French musical history: Berlioz’s Hungarian March from “The Damnation of Faust” with assistant conductor Juan Florez; Lalo’s Cello Concerto in D minor featuring UF School of Music’s own Steven Thomas, and Saint-Saëns’ Symphony No. 3 in C minor, the magnificent “Organ Symphony.” The University Auditorium’s organ will turn 100 years old in 2025!
Thursday 9/26, 7:20 pm, University Auditorium, free and open to the public, no tickets required.
There will be a pre-concert lecture at 6:45 pm in the Friends of Music room.
The UF Symphony Orchestra will reprise Saint-Saëns’s “Organ Symphony” on Sunday, September 29 at 4 pm at the First Presbyterian Church for a benefit concert.
