Medication Disposal Day hosted by UFPD and GatorWell

The drug overdose epidemic in the United States is a clear and present public health, public safety, and national security threat. UFPD and GatorWell are committed to Americans’ safety and health, encouraging the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever starting.

Disposing of unneeded medication is anonymous.

You can turn in unneeded medication at UFPD Headquarters (visitor parking provided) or in the academic core of campus at Turlington Plaza*.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

*Turlington Plaza is located inside the vehicle restriction zone. Members of the community wishing to dispose of medication that will be traveling by car to the campus are encouraged to visit the UFPD Headquarters at 1555 Museum Rd, Gainesville, FL (Intersection of Newell Dr and Museum Rd)
