Experience Istanbul through the lens of a UF student.
You’re invited to drop in all day to a UF in Istanbul student photo exhibit in the Pugh Hall Ocora on Monday, November 17.
The students’ photos capture everyday moments that define the city—from cats napping in bookstores and ferries packed with commuters to political graffiti and peaceful seaside sunsets. The exhibit highlights the contradictions that make Istanbul unique: ancient and modern, chaotic and calm, deeply traditional yet constantly changing.
Each photo will be paired with a short student reflection that connects their experience abroad with the people, places, and stories that stood out most.
Whether you’re curious about Istanbul or thinking about studying abroad yourself, this event offers an honest look at what it’s like to live between continents. It’s part of our celebration of International Education Week.
From 12:30 to 1:30 pm, enjoy a light lunch and hear directly from the student artists about their photos and experiences studying, living, and learning in Turkey.
RSVP required for lunch—or drop by anytime during the day to see the photos, no RSVP required.
