Lab Manager Meet Up

Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) invites lab managers at UF to participate in an input workshop for the Lab Manager Mentoring Program. This program aims to connect less experienced lab managers with more experienced lab managers in a mentor-mentee relationship. Mentees who participated in the program found the following benefits:

▪ Networking and collaborating with colleagues in related disciplines
▪ Learning how State and Federal research regulations are applied at UF
▪ Understanding discipline specific EH&S requirements
▪ Establishing a culture of safety and environment of continuous improvement within your laboratory

We are seeking to expand the program to include other disciplines on campus. Your input will help attain feedback and ensure the Program meets the needs of senior and newer lab managers.
Graduate students of the Communication and Leadership class will lead the community input workshop. The class prepares them to create welcoming spaces where the team can do its best thinking.
