The UF School of Music presents an evening with guest artist Svetozar Ivanov. Ivanov, professor of piano at the University of South Florida, will perform “…and solitary still…” – ten audio vignettes inspired by poetry. Each vignette intertwines live music with various pre-recorded audio elements.
Music by Cowell, Rzewski, Ippolito, Aminikia, Saariaho, Crumb, Silvestrov, Scriabin, and Helps. Poetry by Sappho, Pizarnik, Prévert, Apollinaire, Cummings, Claire, Lorca, and Poe.
