Art After Dark – Museum Nights: Noche de Museo

September 12 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us for Noche de Museo, a vibrant celebration of Hispanic/LatinX/Latine heritage. Come take this opportunity to immerse yourself in a night filled with rich cultural experience, art, and student organizations that highlight the traditions that shape these dynamic communities. Exhibitions featuring Latin American Art include MetamorphosisWindows and MirrorsIn Our Time and a special installation in Highlights from the Modern Collection. Performances, art activities, community informational booths and free food will be provided.

At 6:30 pm Gator Salsa will provide an evening of Cuban salsa and bachata with a showcase, dance class and social dancing. All levels from beginners to advanced are welcome.

This is also the opening night of the Gainesville Latino Film Festival. A film screening of “This Stolen Country of Mine” (2022; 1h 33m) at 6 pm will take place. Learn more about the film at www.gainesvillelatinofilmfestival.org/this-stolen-country-of-mine/
