Art After Dark | Museum Nights: Creative Community
May 8 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Free
Spring is here! Join us for an evening celebrating community and creativity at the Harn. Learn about different art-making practices and find inspiration for your own works of art. Immerse yourself in the vibrant aesthetic atmosphere and support our creative neighbors.
At this special collaboration between the Harn Museum and the Greater Gainesville International Center (GGIC), you will encounter local artists and a variety of activities including group contour drawing; portrait caricature; drawing and sketching. Local arts organizations including the Gainesville Fine Arts Association and Sweetwater Print Co-operative will share Gainesville’s creative vibe and upcoming events. The Harn Museum Artist-in-Residence Jessica Clermont extends a special invitation to watch the creation of her latest project! You’ll also discover beautiful Harn exhibitions; a display of art by Harn Docents; amazing ACPS student artwork; artists from the GFAA artist studio tour; art tours; and free refreshments.
Additional support provided by Alachua County Arts Tag Grant, Satchel’s Pizza, and Kundiman South Regional Group.
The Harn is open until 9 pm on Thursdays. Museum Nights programming begins at 6 pm.
Generous support for Art After Dark is provided by Art Bridges Foundation’s Access for All program and a private grant.
