Mark your calendars for a performance by the University of Florida Concert Bands on Wednesday, April 23rd at 7:20pm in the University Auditorium! This performance will feature both the Monday/Wednesday Concert Band and the Tuesday/Thursday Concert Band.
The Monday/Wednesday Concert Band, with graduate conductors Nick Junker and Lindsay Gassman, will feature time-tested and contemporary works by notable composers such as John Barnes Chance, Frank Ticheli, George Gershwin, Andrew Boysen Jr., and David Maslanka.
Following their performance, the Tuesday/Thursday Concert Band will take the stage with music director Dr. Archie G. Birkner and graduate conductor Jacob McGovern. The group will present selections from the exciting catalogues of John Mackey, Alfred Reed, Gustav Holst, Edward Elgar, James Stephenson, and Eric Whitacre.
