Mark your calendars for a performance by the University of Florida Concert Bands on Monday, March 3rd at 7:20pm in the University Auditorium! This performance will feature both the Monday/Wednesday Concert Band and the Tuesday/Thursday Concert Band.
The Monday/Wednesday Concert Band, with graduate conductors Nick Junker and Lindsay Gassman, will feature time-tested and contemporary works by notable composers such as Leonard Bernstein, Percy Grainger, Satoshi Yagisawa, Ron Nelson, Aaron Perrine, and Ralph Vaughan Williams.
Following their performance, the Tuesday/Thursday Concert Band will take the stage with music director Dr. Archie G. Birkner and graduate conductor Jacob McGovern. The group will present selections from the classic repertoires of Vincent Persichetti and Gabriel Fauré, as well as two energetic and modern works by composers Frank Ticheli and Roger Zare.
