Latina Women’s League is excited to present its 21st Annual Film Festival. This year’s theme is “Enriching Cultures, Empowering Communities”. This theme recognizes that migration is not a loss, but a transformation — of both people and places. It’s about hope, opportunity, and the shared human desire to build something better.
When individuals and families migrate, they don’t leave their cultures behind — they carry their traditions, languages, values, and knowledge with them. As they settle in new countries, they contribute to the cultural richness of their new communities. This is what we mean by “enriching cultures” — migration brings the world closer together and makes communities more vibrant and inclusive.
This event is funded in part by Visit Gainesville – Alachua County
