2025 York Distinguished Lecture Series

Please join us for the 41^st York Distinguished Lecture Series event on September 3, 2025.  This year’s speakers, Matt Cohen, director of the UF Water Institute and a UF/IFAS professor of forest water resources and watershed systems; and Margaret Tolbert, Gainesville-based artist who specializes in paintings of our beautiful Florida springs. The lecture will officially kick off the Dr. E. T. and Vam C. York Art and Agriculture Competition, featuring teams from the College of the Arts (COTA) and College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS). Teams with participants representing each college are eligible to win money to create projects that showcase the marriage of art and science.
