Visit the Florida Museum of Natural History before the “Crocs: Ancient Predators in a Modern World” exhibit swims away on Jan. 5, 2020! Check out live reptiles, test your strength against a crocodile’s bite and learn about Gomek, the largest crocodile exhibited in North America. Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for Florida residents and $5.50 for ages 3–17. Museum members and UF students with a valid Gator 1 card receive free admission. The Florida Museum of Natural History invites visitors to “Get their game on” in the new “Amazing Pollinators” special exhibition opening Jan. 25, 2020. Guests can become their favorite pollinators and embark on up to 48 short missions throughout a colorful maze in this immersive exhibit that highlights pollinators’ benefits to earth’s ecosystems. The Florida Museum of Natural History is hosting two instructional butterfly pinning workshops on Feb. 1 and 2 from 1 to 3 p.m. In addition to learning the process of pinning and preserving butterflies, participants will receive a behind-the-scenes tour of the Florida Museum “Butterfly Rainforest” exhibit and Lepidoptera collections, and a large exotic butterfly or moth specimen to take home.
