UF’s Center for the Humanities and the Public Sphere is announcing its Speaker Series, “Rethinking the Public Sphere,” on September 23, 2 p.m., Smathers Library 100, and 6 p.m., Cotton Club Museum and Cultural Center. In this two-part public talk, Brent Leggs (Executive Director, African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund and University of Pennsylvania) and community leaders of African American neighborhoods and sites will discuss the importance of reconstructing a true national identity that reflects America’s diversity.
