The future of precision medicine
March 25, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Health care can often be one-size-fits-all, but imagine if it could be tailored to each person.
UF Health is participating in the research program called All of Us from the National Institutes of Health. Unlike research studies that focus on one disease or group of people, it’s building a database that can provide information for thousands of studies. This research can help advance precision medicine, which is health care based on an individual’s makeup. It considers factors like where you live, what you do and your family health history. The goal of this study is to support physicians in using the principles of precision medicine to help find treatments that will work best for people.
To get there, we need 1 million people. Learn more by attending this talk in person or online.
