STOMP the SWAMP for Autism 2021
March 6, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am
Virtual fundraising event to benefit the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities hosted by the student group Impact Autism. Registration for participants 13 years old and up is $25 and a STOMP the SWAMP tee shirt is included. Children 12 years old and under are free but do not receive a tee shirt. Donations help to provide visual supports, safety gear boxes, and employment resources for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This event will be hosted on the Impact Autism STS Facebook Event Page.
Usually at Stomp the Swamp, families who have a child with ASD, community members, and UF students, faculty and staff walk or run the stadium steps or around the stadium to raise funds for the UF Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD). However, this time we will ask that families to stay home and stay safe. Instead, what we will do is ask that participants walk, skip, or run as fast and as far as they can either at home, in a Covid-19 protocol gym, or around their neighborhood while tracking their miles to support our cause. We are planning to hold a live event and silent auction on our Facebook Page with scheduled activities throughout the morning.
