Florida Museum hosts free shadow puppet art workshop July 19

The Florida Museum of Natural History and the University of Florida Field & Fork gardens are collaborating for “Nocturnal Neighbors: Insect Neighbors and Puppets” on July 19 from 9 to 11 p.m. at the Field & Fork office building. Local artist Ang DeCarlis will teach attendees how to make their own shadow puppets with paper and popsicle sticks and they can then showcase their creation on a light sheet while also learning about nocturnal bugs and insect conservation from lepidopterist Vaughn Shirey. All materials will be included. This is a free event but pre-registration is required.
