Don’t let osteoporosis be a downward spiral
October 20, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Osteoporosis is often called a silent disease because people don’t feel their bones weakening. Breaking a bone or loss of height are often the first signs of osteoporosis. In fact, 50% of women and 25% of men will have an osteoporotic fracture in their lifetime. Compression fractures of the spine are the most common type, but there are several ways to prevent and treat osteoporosis.
Hear from UF Health pharmacist Joy Wright, Pharm.D., about how dietary supplements and medications can help improve bone health and reduce the risk of fracture. Learn how vertebral compression fractures are diagnosed and treated from UF Health physician Evans Heithaus, M.D. Attendees can also ask questions during this live webinar.
