Interested in improving your skills to make better decisions when reviewing financial data? The new Critical Thinking Through Data Analysis virtual class is for you!
Data-driven decision making is essential for doing business at UF. While running a report may give you information, does it provide the necessary perspective that you need to make a solid decision? Applying critical thinking skills to the information you are analyzing is essential for enabling good decisions. The training is organized around 4 areas of financial data:
- Budget/Available Balance
We will define questions to pose about the data and then step you through how to collect, organize, and analyze the information. Collectively, we will discuss some pitfalls, identify questions the data does not answer, and explore ways to validate your results.
The pilot of this class was offered in April 2021 through the GBAS community of practice.
