Call for Proposals Open | Faculty & Staff Career Symposium
August 18, 2021 @ 8:00 am - October 1, 2021 @ 5:00 pm
Free
The University of Florida’s Career Connections Center invites presentation proposals for the 4th Annual UF Faculty & Staff Career Symposium. This year’s theme is Today’s Students for Tomorrow’s Workforce, with a particular focus on emerging trends that impact students’ workforce readiness and the role faculty and staff play in preparing UF students for the future of work. Proposals should explore emerging trends such as the increasing role of artificial intelligence across job functions, the permanency of remote work and its impact on job seekers, the rise of freelancing as a career, and other workforce trends.
A successful proposal should make evident the presenter’s knowledge and expertise on the proposed topic. Purely conceptual or theoretical proposals may be considered; however, preference will be given to proposals that offer proven best practices and/or data-driven insights that challenge conventional knowledge and practices.
We invite proposals from the entire UF and Greater Gainesville communities. Presenters must be willing to attend the event in person on January 13, 2022. Virtual presentation proposals will not be accepted. Call for proposals ends October 1, 2021.
