The applications of AI are limitless, and whatever your interest level you can increase your working knowledge of AI through professional development short courses offered by the University of Florida. The seven topical areas developed in collaboration with the Colleges of Business, Engineering, Liberal Art & Sciences and Agricultural and Life Sciences are as follows:

  1. Fundamentals of AI
  2. Fundamentals of AI (STEM majors)
  3. Applications of AI (Engineering)
  4. Ethics of AI
  5. Business and AI
  6. Data Science and AI
  7. Agricultural & Life Sciences and AI

These courses were developed with the intent to provide a foundation in machine learning and its impacts across a range of careers and disciplines. These courses provide an affordable way to learn the lexicon of artificial intelligence, its current uses, and understand the near-limitless possibilities of the AI-supported environment–all within UF standards of course delivery and content.

The details of the short course are here (https://pwd.aa.ufl.edu/ai/agricultural-life-sciences/) , and we have a 1-hr teaser version at no cost (FREE). A 15hr short course where a micro-credential and certificate can be earned is starting in April 19th for 4 weeks duration for Agricultural and Life Sciences.

Anyone wanting more information on the AI micro-credential, or the registration process is welcome to contact Dr. Regina Rodriguez, AI Professional Development at reginarodriguez@aa.ufl.edu.
