As we commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, Bob Filippone, former National Security Advisor to Senator Bob Graham, joins Dr. Onursal Erol for a timely conversation examining the lasting impact of 9/11 on U.S. foreign policy, national security, and the decades that followed.
Join the Bob Graham Center for Public Service on Thursday, September 10 at 5:30 PM in the Pugh Hall Ocora for a conversation marking the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks and their lasting impact on U.S. foreign policy and national security.
Bob Filippone, former Vice President for U.S. Government Affairs at Merck and former national security advisor to U.S. Senator Bob Graham, will share his firsthand perspective on the events of September 11, 2001, and the pivotal years that followed. Having advised Senator Graham during one of the most consequential periods in modern American history, Filippone offers a unique insider’s view of how the attacks reshaped U.S. national security, foreign policy, and America’s role in the world.
The conversation will be moderated by Dr. Onursal Erol, International Studies faculty and Middle East expert in the Bob Graham Center. Together, they will explore the lessons of the past 25 years and the challenges that continue to shape American foreign policy today.
